Whether you’re here because you are burnt out and finding your way back into your profession again, or you aspire to be a helper, BTC is aimed at sharing uncensored and authentic information.


Dr. Panicha McGuire, LMFT, RPT

Panicha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (111378), Colorado (.0002155), and Hawaii (787). She is also a Registered Play Therapist, recognized by the Association for Play Therapy. Panicha is a University of California, Irvine and Alliant International University alumna. She began her career as a behavior specialist providing ABA to children and teens before furthering her education in the field of marriage and family therapy. She has experience with children and teens in a variety of settings including in-home treatment, outpatient psychiatry, residential treatment, and group home. Panicha is a neurodiversity-affirming and a LGBTQIA+ inclusive therapist who loves to support her child, teen, and young adult clients. Panicha specializes in neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, anxiety disorders, and diversity challenges (such as intergenerational trauma or Asian-American generational dynamics). During her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs (Obiwan and Nala) to the beach, playing video games, and finding new eats.

Micaela Magazzu-Alaman, LMFT

Miceala is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California (LMFT #120272) and Colorado (MFT.0002160). She continued her education at Alliant International University where she received her Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy in 2016. Micaela has training and clinical experience in a variety of settings including children’s outpatient psychiatry clinics, intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment centers for adults with substance use disorders, and private practice settings with a focus on comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults and teens. She has worked with children and parents involved in the Child Welfare System in outpatient and private practice settings. Micaela has additional training in evidenced-based approaches such as DBT and play therapy as well as formal training with Body-Focused-Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), such as hair-pulling and skin-picking. Currently, she is working on her dissertation for her doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (Doctor of Psychology- PsyD) at the California School of Professional Psychology – Alliant International University.
